Searchlight Basic: Smart Searching Online Course

About this course

In this course, you will learn how to find information for your studies efficiently and quickly. This includes how to formulate search terms, how to use internet resources and databases, how to evaluate information, and how to include it in a report.

Searchlight Basic consists of 6 modules and a final exam. Each module contains:

  • text, short videos, and quiz questions
  • a search logbook in which you keep a record of how you conducted searches

Level and requirements

Searchlight Basic is intended for first-year students. No specific prior knowledge is needed in order to be able to enrol in this course.
